From the journal

Every gathering leaves something behind. Our journal is where those moments live. Explore writing, reflections, and perspectives from the people and practices that shape this space.

TO BE LOVED IS TO BE SEEN

The beauty of creativity is not in its perfection, but in its practice. When it comes to art that has been practiced over centuries, there cannot possible be a right way to practice it. There is only the act of doing.

FAQs
  • Anyone curious about South Asian art and culture. No prior experience needed! Our workshops welcome complete beginners and seasoned creatives alike.

  • Every single person who has ever made something beautiful started by making something terrible. Creativity isn't a gift you're born with, it's a practice just like anything else. Being bad at something is the first step towards being good at something! We promise the only thing you need is curiosity.

  • Every dollar goes directly back into the experience and the people behind it: the materials, the space, the facilitators who guide you, the refreshments, and the artisans we source our materials from directly. We believe in paying fairly at every step of the chain, and your ticket makes that possible.

  • A small, intimate group setting (usually 8–15 people), guided instruction, all materials provided, and a finished piece to take home. We strive to create a multi-sensory experience with sound and scents.
